A natural hormone made in the adrenal glands which our bodies gradually decrease production of over time.

DHEA can help reduce cravings and relapse by balancing dopamine, serotonin and stress hormones to help eliminate conditioned drug seeking behaviors.

The DHEA program is a tool we use in addition to our normal treatment protocols. It involves taking a blood sample and answering some questions on a computer-generated questionnaire. Based on the results of these we will give you a prescribed dosage of DHEA. You will continue in our regular rehabilitation protocols while taking the DHEA.

Our DHEA program is a brand new program using the latest research in addiction recovery. Because of this some insurance coverage may have coverage for this type of treatment while others may not. We will continue to work with insurance companies and rehab facilities to make this program as affordable as possible to give you your life back from addiction.

In Human trials we found with the DHEA program patients were 66% less likely to relapse compared to the placebo group when added to addiction rehabilitation therapy.

The research has been led by a collaborative effort spanning psychiatry, neuroscience, pharmacology, and addiction treatment disciplines across institutions in the US, Israel, and Europe. Both preclinical animal and human clinical trials have contributed to the findings. Including at Bar Ilhan university in Israel and Harvard University in the United States.

While DHEA is considered safe there may be some minor side effects such as symptoms like oily skin, acne, hair loss, and changes in menstrual cycles in some people. It may also influence insulin sensitivity in the blood. Sustained (longer than 6 months) higher doses can cause liver toxicity.
